Around five years ago, I found a system for writing children's books.

I had been experimenting for about a year and a half when I finally found a series of steps that worked well for children’s book writing. I documented the process in November 2018.

I created a PowerPoint presentation and recorded myself going through it. However, upon reviewing the video, I realized it was dry and uninteresting. I kept recording the course over and over again with the same result.

To make the course more interesting, I thought I would add behind-the-book videos, sharing my screen and telling students all the weird things that writers think of as they are creating a project from nothing.

I settled on that format and hit publish.

In the first month, only three people signed up for my course; the following month, only two joined.

Now, over 20,000 writers are writing together on Skillshare and making children’s books of their own. Just yesterday, a writer told me that she and her child were taking the class together, and I can’t wait to see what they create.

I would like to invite you to join us to write a children’s book in 7 days or less. If you’d have us, we’d love to have you. Are you ready to begin?
